As an interior room, this dining room was fairly dark from the outset.
My plan was to capitalize on that and turn it into a dramatic yet
serene
room that
would provide an invitingly elegant dining backdrop.
I started with rich mocha
walls above the chair rail (we used a warm white
for
the lower wall areas and all trim) and limited the main leaf and
floral colors
to shades of soft green and white.
Accents of blue and rich cream correlate with the homeowner's Wedgwood
china.
I love this room!
